Every Abandoned Child
Dreams of a Family

Isn't it hard to actually change something in a child's life?  We facilitate adoption in Brasov, Romania; not an Orphanage not International Adoption.  Your contribution will make a child's dream come true, and help them find a loving home.

Because the Children Need Help!

We offer professional help and counseling to children and adoptive families, and we believe that money shouldn't be a barrier; so your sponsorship is key.

How it Started

I first traveled to Romania in 2002 as a college student. When I stepped off the train in Bucharest, there were homeless children begging in the station. I returned in 2009 to start this organization. We helped the street children find solutions, and we tutored children in orphanages.

But we wanted to do even more; we wanted to give children a family. It wasn't easy, but in 2017 we gained authorization and built the local trust needed to be involved in the adoption process. Today we train around 40 families every year for adoption.

Thank you for caring enough about children to look into our small charity. If you can help us, please be in touch, it means a lot.

What's different?

Child Plaement in RO

Adopted in Country

Asociația Umanitară Un Nou Început (A New Beginning Humanitarian Association) is Authorized in Internal Adoption (Romanians Adopting Romanian Children), by the Romanian Governing Body ANPDCA since 2017.  In collaboration with Child Protection of Brasov County Romania we have certified hundreds of couples for adoption.  Our team includes qualified and experienced Psychologists and Social Workers who support these families through the whole process; and even years into the future if life gets hard for the child or family.

Our Mission
Their Voice...

Child talking into a microphone

"Many people believe that adoption is something simple, but in reality it is a complex set of actions, circumstances, and situations that you may not understand. Instead of doing good, you can unintentionally cause harm without realizing it. Counseling throughout the adoption process should be mandatory, not optional.”

-Adoptive Father

"Counseling with a specialised Psychologist has been helpful for us as parents, not just our child."
